The Obstetric and Gynaecological Nursing Department focuses on the comprehensive care
of women during reproductive age. Our scope of practice includes reproductive and child health,
care during pregnancy, labor, and puerperium, conducting normal deliveries, family welfare, and
addressing gynecological issues. Through a combination of theoretical instruction and practical
learning experiences, students are prepared to provide comprehensive care to both normal and
high-risk mothers during the antenatal, intranatal, and postnatal periods, including the care of
newborns. It aims to enable students to appreciate the client as a holistic individual and develop the
skills necessary to function as independent midwife practitioners.
Our postgraduate program is designed to help students develop expertise and an in-depth
understanding of Obstetric and Gynaecological Nursing. Additionally, the program prepares
students to take on roles as educators, managers, and researchers within the field of Obstetric and
Gynaecological Nursing.
