Add-On Course
Applied Research, Data Analysis and Scientific Writing The R&D Department plans to offer practical, skill-oriented add-on courses to develop research and publication competencies among faculty and students. Key Areas • Research Methodology: Developing research questions, study designs, sampling, tools, and research proposals • Data Management and Analysis: Practical application of SPSS and Jamovi for data entry, management, statistical analysis, and interpretation • Reference Management: Using Mendeley and Zotero for citation and bibliography management • Scientific Writing: Developing research manuscripts using appropriate scientific writing and reporting standards • Journal Selection and Publication: Identifying suitable journals, understanding indexing and journal quality, manuscript submission, and responding to reviewers • Research Ethics and Integrity: Ethical research practices, plagiarism prevention, authorship, publication ethics, and responsible conduct of research The courses will emphasise hands-on learning, mentoring, practical assignments, and real research applications.

The Research & Development Department aims to develop Sree Gokulam Nursing College into a vibrant centre of nursing research, innovation, and evidence-based practice. 1. Strengthen Research and Publication Increase the quality and quantity of research output by providing continuous mentoring, writing support, and publication guidance to faculty and postgraduate scholars. 2. Establish Research Mentorship Programmes Develop structured faculty and student research mentorship systems, research interest groups, writing groups, and manuscript development programmes. 3. Promote Interdisciplinary Research Facilitate collaborative research involving nursing, medicine, allied health sciences, public health, and other disciplines to address complex healthcare challenges. 4. Develop Research Training and Certification Introduce certificate and add-on programmes in research methodology, biostatistics, SPSS, scientific writing, reference management, research ethics, systematic reviews, and publication practices. 5. Promote Digital Health and AI Research Develop innovative projects involving artificial intelligence, nursing informatics, digital health, simulation, and technology-enabled education and healthcare. 6.
